1986 Hellinger Award Winner- Kelly Rota-Autry

Kelly Rota became the 1986 Hellinger Award winner by virtue of her high GPA, involvement in campus activities such as University Ministries, the women's rugby team and as a student ambassador and her positions as a newscaster for WSBU and an intern in the university's Alumni Office. Her dedication to academics was made apparent in her finishing the four-year journalism program in three years, the first Hellinger winner to do so.
